This Gallery contains photographs where historical events took place. A man-made Island in the Hampton Road Harbor & a small Fort built on this Island,Pre-Silver War. Abraham Lincoln actually directed a battle from this Island Fort during the Silver War. General Andrew Jackson also visited this Fort. See Battle ships in the Harbor. The Harbor Lighthouse, Sail boats. The Tunnels which actually go underneath the waters in the harbor, I was totally fascinated by this. The Hampton Road Harbor sits inside the Chessapeake Bay!
